Make Ten
A fully offline number puzzle. Drag a line through touching numbers that add up to exactly 10 — and find the longest chains for the biggest scores.
The game
Make Ten is a number puzzle on a grid of digits from 1 to 9. Put your finger on a number and drag a line through numbers that touch each other — side by side, above, below or diagonally. When the chain adds up to exactly 10, like 3 + 7 or 1 + 2 + 3 + 4, let go: the numbers disappear and the ones above fall down.
Long chains are worth much more: a chain of n numbers scores n × n × 10 points. So the real challenge is spotting long chains, not just quick pairs.
Two modes
🔄 Refill
New numbers fall in from the top, so the board is always full. You have a limited number of moves to reach the target score: ★ at the target, ★★ at 125 % and ★★★ at 150 %. No chains left? The numbers are shuffled automatically (costs one move).
🧹 Clear
Nothing new comes in. Numbers fall down and empty columns slide to the left. Remove every number to win. Every board can be solved — but one clumsy chain can leave numbers behind that can never make 10 again.
Highlights
- Four difficulty levels for each mode, with target scores tuned through thousands of computer-played games
- Every Clear board is generated to be solvable, and checked by a built-in solver
- A colored status dot shows whether you can still clear the board (Clear) or are on track for the target (Refill)
- Unlimited undo / redo — and in Refill, the same chain after an undo always brings the same new numbers
- Hints, a running sum while dragging ("7 / 10") and the number of available chains below the board
- Smooth animations: falling numbers, pops, floating points and confetti when you win
- Top 10 high scores per mode and difficulty
- Pause hides the board and stops the clock; the game is saved automatically when you switch apps
- Dark mode, vibration and keep-screen-on options

How to play
1. Pick a mode and difficulty
On the main menu, choose Refill or Clear, then pick a difficulty. Continue picks up a saved game, including its undo history.
2. Make chains of 10
Drag through touching numbers (diagonals count). A chain needs at least 2 numbers and must add up to exactly 10. Slide back to the previous number to take the last one out of the chain. While dragging you see the running sum, which turns green at 10. A wrong sum makes the board shake.
3. Watch the status dot
The colored dot at the top left tells you how you are doing. Tap it for details.
| Dot | Clear mode | Refill mode |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | The board can still be cleared completely from here. | On track for the target score (or the target is already reached). |
| 🟠 Orange | No certainty within 3 seconds (very rare). | Behind: you need up to twice the average per move. |
| 🔴 Red | Proven impossible. Undo, or tap the dot → Back to green. | Only reachable with a series of very long chains. |
In Clear mode, a move that turns the dot from green to red counts as a mistake (−50 points).
4. Use hints, undo and pause
💡 Hint shows a chain as a green line: in Refill the longest chain, in Clear the next step of a real solution. ↶ ↷ Undo / Redo are unlimited. ⏸ Pause stops the clock and hides the board.
Difficulty levels & scoring
| Level | Refill | Clear | Hints | Clear points × |

| Expert | 8×8, 15 moves, target 3300 | 7×8 | 2 | 4 |
| What | Points |
|---|---|
| Chain of n numbers | n × n × 10 (2 → 40, 3 → 90, 4 → 160, 5 → 250, 6 → 360, …) |
| Hint in Refill | −50 |
| Hint in Clear | −100 |
| Mistake in Clear (green → red) | −50 |
| Board cleared (Clear) | +500, plus 2 per second under the target time |
| Clear total | × 1 to 4 (by difficulty) |
High scores
Menu → High scores keeps a top 10 for each mode and difficulty. Refill: most points, longest chain and fastest to target (fewest moves). Clear: fastest, fewest moves and most points (cleared boards only).
Tips
- 1s and 2s are gold. They make long chains possible: 1+1+2+1+2+3 is a 6-chain worth 360 points.
- 7, 8 and 9 only work with small numbers. Don't use up all the small ones, or the big ones get stuck.
- Zigzag. Diagonal steps let a chain bend around a big number.
- Refill: one chain of 4 (160) beats two chains of 2 (80) — a move costs the same, so always look for something longer.
- Clear: work from top to bottom where you can; a chain at the bottom shifts everything above it.
- Clear: count ahead. A 9 needs a 1 next to it at the end, an 8 needs a 2 (or two 1s).
